The Government is removing the remaining domestic restrictions in England with respect to Covid but there are still some steps which you can take to reduce the risk of catching and spreading Covid-19 –

1  Get Vaccinated

2. Let fresh Air in by opening windows and/or doors if meeting indoors, or meet outside

3. Consider wearing face covering in crowded, enclosed spaces.

4. Get tested if you have symptoms.

Please do consider your own health and the well being of others in your community and please support your local church in their efforts to respond to the needs of your community and follow their advice regarding the wearing of masks and distancing for services and meetings.

Please encourage everyone to seriously consider having the vaccine.

As it has been a tradition of worshipping communities to have a routine of daily morning, evening and night prayer we have added to our ‘posts’ a link to the C of E Daily Prayers, the link can also be followed here. We hope this may help you all continue to be linked to the daily life of the church.

Prayers

Lord Jesus Christ, You taught us to love our neighbour, and to care for those in need, as we would care for You.  In this time of anxiety, give us the strength to comfort the fearful, to tend the sick, and to assure the isolated of our love and of Your love; for Your name’s sake.  Amen

Loving Lord, we pray for your world which You created and love, for all its peoples.  For those afflicted by the virus, for all health  staff, particularly the N.H.S.  who are still caring for the sick,  for all who are involved in the roll out of the vaccines and booster jabs and for those coming forward to receive them . We pray for those in government and local authorities with the unenviable tasks of dealing with this pandemic.  We pray that all will remember our common humanity, and pull together. We hold before you all who are sick, bereaved, isolated, lonely or simply afraid.  Help us by Your grace to hold fast to You, and look always to You for guidance and aid; for the sake of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Prayer of St. Teresa of Avila

Let nothing disturb you,    nothing frighten you;       All things are passing;

God never changes;    Patient endurance     Attains all things;

Whoever possesses God    lacks nothing;   God alone suffices.
